Chief Industrial Services provides services that require our employees to comply with safety regulations administered by OSHA, both General Industry and Construction, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Coast Guard and Federal Railroad Administration. The success of our Environmental, Health and Safety program is attributed to the positive attitude and motivation of our employees to use the safety skills provided by the company. Company ownership demonstrates their strong commitment to the environmental, health, and safety program by investing both company time and capital into modern certified equipment, regulatory training, and continued education requirements. Chief’s exceptional safety record is proof of this pledge.
Chief requires a site specific safety plan for each job to ensure not only the safety of our employees, but also the safety of our clients, other contractors, the general public, and the environment. Prior to beginning each job, the project manager identifies and documents all potential hazards, along with suggestions for eliminating or managing risks. All employees involved in the job then participate in a safety tailgate meeting prior to commencing work. They review the potential hazards, the project managers suggested solutions, and provide input based upon their experiences. The work will begin when all employees sign off stating they are comfortable with the site specific jobs safety plan. |
